Prenatal Yoga builds stamina and strength needed for labor and birth as well as helping women to be more comfortable in their bodies throughout pregnancy.
As you nurture your baby in your womb yoga helps to nurture the mother as well. By linking postures with the breath, yoga helps to relieve tension and stress, creating a sense of inner calm. Prenatal Yoga also builds stamina and strength needed for labor and birth as well as helping women to be more comfortable in their bodies throughout pregnancy. Practicing yoga with other women in various stages of pregnancy can be a deeply enriching, supportive experience.
Prenatal Yoga is taught by Lisa Knuffman, Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor. Lisa practiced Prenatal Yoga throughout all three of her pregnancies and found yoga to be a powerful tool in helping her to feel strong, calm and empowered during labor and delivery.
This class will be offered again beginning on September 1, 2011. Until that time, Lisa is on maternity leave and we wish her all the best!
